HOW SMALL PRESS MAKES YOUR ART MORE VISIBLE
Artist, publisher, and curator Anna Dial will share her experience of building a small-press platform as a tool for making artistic practice visible through print. In this talk, she will explore how low-circulation culture — zines, handmade prints and books, collective publications, and temporary exhibition spaces — can transform individual artistic research into tangible, shareable physical forms.
A Zine is a self-made, low-cost publication produced in small runs without traditional publishers — and it can be anything: text, photos, drawings, structured stories or total improvisation. Zines give artists complete freedom to experiment and turn ideas into personal, tangible forms.
Anna will share:

Anna has participated in exhibitions and presented publishing-based projects in Montenegro, Serbia, Germany, France, and Russia transforming unconventional spaces — from former hairdresser shops to abandoned hotels and construction containers — into temporary sites for printed art.
