Programme
1.
AI video landscape + First meaningful frame
Understanding what AI video is, where it is used, and why it is a new visual language. Overview of the main models and platforms (Kling, Veo, Runway, MiniMax/Hailuo, Luma, Seedance, Midjourney Video), their character and strengths. Clarifying the difference between standalone models and aggregators, where multiple tools are available under one subscription. Understanding the current capabilities and limitations of the technology. Choosing a platform to work in. Animating the first shot intentionally.
2.
Movement language + Video prompting
Using the camera as a directing tool, from basic movements to expressive techniques. Structuring prompts so they work across different models. Preparing images for animation, extending clips, and solving common generation issues.
3.
Complex shot + Series with a story
We will learn how to create complex shots: multiple characters, camera and object movement, foreground and background, and we will also understand how to circumvent AI limitations. We will master sound prompting for models with auto-generated audio — Kling and Veo — and create a series of single-frame videos with a storyline.
4.
Triptych: rhythm and flow between frames
We will learn to think in sequences and put together a coherent 10-20-second video using rhythm, mood and visual flow, without a plot, based on feeling. We will edit directly in Instagram and put together our first complete video for social media.
5.
Cinematic history + Editing
Let's learn how to construct a simple cinematic story: we will create a storyboard and edit the footage according to the rules of cinema. We will edit it in a simple programme (DaVinci Resolve for beginners) and put together our first complete story with a beginning, a twist and an ending.
6.
Morphing, transformation and the language of video art
Let's master morphing — the key superpower of AI video: smooth transformations of shapes and environments. We will explore the language of video art, repetitions, loops, rhythm, and textures, and create a hypnotic work where transformation becomes the main language.
7.
Music and rhythm + First music video
We will learn to think rhythmically: to subordinate visuals to music, to work with tempo and accents. We will explore AI music, Suno and Udio, and master basic sound and video synchronisation by creating our first 30–60-second music video.
8.
Sound: dialogue, VO, ambient, sound design
We will explore how sound and voice shape space and video perception. We will learn how to generate speech and dialogue using ElevenLabs, work with intonation and lip-sync (synchronisation of lip movement and speech). We will master sound layers and create a scene with well-thought-out sound and voice.
9.
Tools for refinement and improvement
We will master AI post-processing tools for video enhancement: inpainting, outpainting, upscaling, and stabilisation. We will figure out when to use each tool and try out different combinations.
10.
Designing the final project
We will learn how to plan an AI video project from concept to implementation. We will create a document with art direction (visual concept development): a storyboard and a list of scenes with descriptions of movement, rhythm, and sound. We will work on visual integrity and put together a project presentation with ideas, examples, and test footage.
11.
Final project + Going live
We will compile the final work (1–3 minutes) in the genre you like. We will create accompanying materials: a poster and a project description. We will figure out how to indicate the use of AI, where to show the work, and how to develop further.
